Although I liked Gunsmoke, my favorite was Bonanza (loved Hoss). Those were two of my favorite Westerns! In my younger days I was a Western Fan through and through and if it had horses, I probably watched it...
It started out as a straight western,but as the years went by they started showing a comedy episode every other week.My Dad hate that.He wouldn't watch the show on those weeks.I wouldn't either.
As kids we would sneek down the stairs to watch Bonanza every Sunday. It came on after The Ed Sullivan Show at 9:00pm and we were supposed to be in bed by 8:00pm. As long as we were quiet we would get away with it - but not always!
