That completely freaked me out in '67. And I couldn't believe it happened in South Africa instead of here in America. And they gave a girl's (Denise) heart to a man (Louis) ... Dr. Barnaard was a combination God/Frankenstein ...

IIRC it was done in South Africa br Dr Cristiaan Barnard...the patient was a Louis Warshansky (Sp???)...Again, IIRC the first heart transplant in the USA was done in Houston by Dr Michael DeBakey...I forget the patient's name...I could Google it but that would be cheating... CB in FL
