Heatherton and his crew entertained kids with games, songs, stories, crafts, hobbies, comedy, puppet skits, magic tricks, interviews with guest performers and personalities, and informational segments. The live segments were interspersed with theatrical Terrytoons and Crusader Rabbit cartoons.

with"The Merry Mailman"(Ray Heatherton)are"Mr.Humperdink"
and"King Orlando"(Manipulated and voiced by Milt Moss).

Ray Heatherton also hosted the weekend evening edition of
"The Popeye Show" as "Capt. Ray" on WPIX TV Ch.11 in NYC
from Saturday and Sunday September 8, & 9, 1956 to Sunday
April 13, 1958.

Ray Heatherton briefly revived "The Merry Mailman" character for "The Merry Mailman's Funhouse" which was seen weekday afternoons on WPIX TV Ch.11
in NYC from Monday September 25,1961 to Friday May 31,1963.
